Paul Velluet, local historian and architect gave a really interesting presentation on “Old and New Richmond” on 11/9 to over 30 clients and volunteers. Enhanced by a slide show of  buildings around Richmond, Paul prompted many memories, especially for some longer term residents who recalled the milk cart drawn by horse and cart coming up Queens Road, the Old Fire Station and of course landmarks such as The Star and Garter and Richmond Theatre.

Many of those attending are residents on the Queens Road Estate so it was fascinating to hear about the history of this area and how it was developed.

Thank you to our volunteers who make these events possible by driving clients to and from the venue and to David at The Cambrian Centre for use of the room.
